Dr. Ir. Marian is a chemical engineer with a PhD from Ghent University. Her research background includes active involvement in Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU) initiatives such as Carbon4PUR and C²O. During the Carbon4PUR project, Dr. Flores-Granobles contributed with process and reactor modeling to recover CO from Blast Furnace Gas via a pressure-swing chemical looping process to produce polyurethane. The C²O project focused on the conversion of CO2 into light olefins, there she developed process models for the technical evaluation of conventional and alternative light olefins production routes. Recently, she has joined FINOCAS where she continues to work towards reducing the CO2 footprint of the steel industry. Dr. Flores-Granobles is an experienced speaker with a wealth of knowledge on CCU projects and their potential impact on sustainability.
